M. Com (Finance & Accounting)

OBJECTIVES

A specialization in Finance & Accounting equips the M.Com. student to gain in-depth training, knowledge and skills in various aspects of business, accounting and finance. The course trains students to develop conceptual, management and analytical skills to evaluate changing financial market trends and use this to advise individuals and companies on fund investment and money management.

Employment prospects can be found in the fields of insurance, securities, banking, cost accountancy, business and financial consulting, project management, share broking and commodities, marketing (institutional and retail), operations and risk management.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who have passed their Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce/ Accounting/ Management/ Economics of this University or any recognized University, and have secured at-least 50% of marks in the aggregate of all papers studied in the qualifying examinations, are eligible for admission to the course.

Admissions will be based on an Entrance Test conducted by the University. Marks scored in the Test and qualifying examinations will be conferred in the final selection of candidates to the course.
