OBJECTIVES
The Post-Graduate Degree in Commerce specializes in commerce, accounting, management and economics and is a popular academic choice after humanities and science. It imparts knowledge on the inner workings of various financial institutions and business, trade, financial policies and the stock market as well as corporate finances and the general economy. Commerce as a specialization is much in demand to meet the ever-growing needs of the Indian economy, which is expanding exponentially at both national and international levels.

A Post-Graduate in Commerce can command high salaried jobs in public and private sector enterprises, banking, budget planning, education, industrial houses, marketing, capital and fund management, insurance, accounting, policy planning, foreign exchange, insurance and commercial firms.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Candidates who have passed the B.Com. or B.B.M. Degree examinations of this University or of any other recognized University as equivalent, securing not less than 50% marks in the Commerce subjects of Business Education over all the years (examinations of B.Com./B.B.M. course) shall be eligible for admission to the course.
  • In the case of SC/SC candidates and visually challenged students, the minimum percentage of marks requiredshall be less by 5% (i.e., 45% marks).
